Board-Certified Periodontist
Dr. Hazem Saqqal is a Board-Certified Periodontist. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2012, he pursued specialized training in Periodontics at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, where he completed a Master of Science in 2020.
Dr. Saqqal has an extensive experience in implant dentistry, advanced bone and soft tissue grafting, and computer-guided implant surgery to ensure precision, efficiency, and optimal patient outcomes.
Dr. Saqqal is an active member of several leading professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.

Diagnosis and treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis, from early inflammation to advanced gum disease.
Scaling and root planing
A deep cleaning below the gumline that removes buildup and helps gum tissue heal and reattach.
Laser gum therapy
Laser-assisted treatment for diseased gum tissue, often with less bleeding and a quicker recovery.
Gum grafting
Soft tissue grafts that cover exposed roots, reduce sensitivity and protect teeth from further recession.
Bone grafting
Rebuilding bone where it has been lost, often to prepare a site for a dental implant.
Implant support
Planning and site preparation for implants, coordinated with Dr. Karbasi’s restorative treatment.
